You should be able to enter Thailand with a visa exempt which will give you 60 days on arrival. Your travel history should not be an issue.

the information you gave is 100% correct, but isn't it a farce that Thailand approves a five year visa for 180 days at a time, yet they give no guidance for banks to allow the visa holder to open a bank account.

I noticed a strange business practice. You book on Agoda and then get a refund after 2 months. I am not a fan of this.

I have booked AirAsia flights through other vendors often. Last month, I booked directly with the but after booking, I realized they charged me insurance and I didn't catch it. I learned my lesson.
