Hi all thanks for accepting me as a member of your group.I'm coming out too thailand on the 2nd Dec until 28th February,the problems is ive already had 2 stays in thailand from 10th July until 6th Aug and from 27th September until 17th October this year.After reading about visas it's confusing me which if any visa I will require,ive emailed the thai embassy regarding this and upto now not had no reply back off them after sending it last week.I want to make sure everything is legal and done properly,it is also saying on the visas application they want proof of my accommodation which upto now i can only prove 28 days which I've booked into a hotel.This being i wanted to travel around thailand and neighbouring countries for all the remaining days,any advise or recommendations would be helpful thankyou in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on the appropriate visa to enter Thailand for a stay from December 2 to February 28, following two previous stays earlier in the year. Various commenters suggest that the user can enter Thailand on a visa-exempt entry, allowing stays of up to 60 days, with the potential to extend for another 30 days. There is discussion about the requirement of proof of accommodation and concerns regarding flight itineraries in relation to immigration scrutiny. The consensus emphasizes understanding visa exemption rules and highlights that the user should ensure they have a return or onward ticket to avoid any issues.

Stop freaking out and second guessing yourself. The embassy is not answering because how many enquires do you think they get like this. You are visa exempt just come and enjoy Thailand you are acting like you are some kind of criminal. You get 60 days exempt before that is up you are entitled to a 30 day extension that's 90 days just bring enough money 🤑🤑like this is explain every second post here

@David *******
thanks for that but what's concerning me my flight times are 80 days difference from landing to exiting will this not be a red flag for immigration to question,and am I still allowed the 30 days extension even though I've already booked my flights obviously

@Bob ************
they are not concerned by your flight leaving when you arrive just enter Thailand and go get an extension
Henrik *****
Get a onward ticket within the 60 day visa excempt entry.

@Henrik ****
why he already has a return ticket yes days are not in 60 days but he can get extension or go out and come back when he wants
Henrik *****
But he has not got the extension yet, only got granted 60 days, and have to show intention to follow the visarules, which mean a ticket out of Thailand within the 60 days.

Or enter on a visascheme that allows to stay same number of days as the flightticket.

@Henrik ****
it's not a visa it is an exemption.He can come and go within that 59 days it's his responsibility if he over stays he gets a fine if he leaves early to go wherever up to him and he can come back and fly out on his ticket date. Maybe his ticket is flexible he can bring it forward or move it out. You are trying to predict the future he is traveling within the rules. Enjoy 😊
Henrik *****
By expecting to get a extension, is predicting the future, which may not happend.

So traveling visa excempt, means you have to leave Thailand before 60 days, and be able to prove that with a ticket out of Thailand within the 60 days.

@Henrik ****
correct so buy an onward ticket to neighbouring country

Could you please give us a bit more information.

I’ve never had to show proof of accommodation and I’ve been coming here over 20 years. Hotels will want to scan your passport and that sufficient. This will help your visit to Thailand. Travelfish,org

@Gary *****
You need proof of accommodation for a VISA. Not for entering Thailand. You are confusing this.

@Gary *****
Not wrong. Just go to a random eVisa site.

You have established that you are a tourist by returning home after each visit. That's fine. If you hold an appropriate passport, you could come without a visa and be stamped in for 60 days. You can then extend this for a further 30 days at the Immigration Office where you stay

thanks tim but my return flight is longer than 60 days,will this be questionable by immigration on my arrival into thailand

@Bob ************
Your airline will possibly ask for proof of onward travel within 60 days as a condition of allowing you to fly. Ask them what their policy is for Visa Exempt entries. If required Google "onward travel ticket".
Tim *********
@Bob ************
No, just tell them you'll be extending your stay to 90 days

Thailand is doing all it can to boost tourism, and it's flagging economy. They'll deal with people who are obviously taking the p155, but seriously you will be welcomed
Ken ***********
You should be able to enter Thailand with a visa exempt which will give you 60 days on arrival. Your travel history should not be an issue.

thankyou for that ken but my flight ticket return is over 60 days from me landing in thailand,will this be questionable by immigration on arrival

@Bob ************
just say you are planning a road trip to Lao or something and will make sure your return flight back to home country is from BKK
Ken ***********
@Bob ************
you may be asked to show a return ticket within 60 days by your airline and/or Thai immigration. If asked, you could buy a throw away ticket from Thailand to any neighboring country (Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia). There are also online sires where you can buy a dummy ticket.

Its perfectly fine to visit Thailand again on a visa free exempt entry. Many do that 3 or 4 times a year and never have any problems. Its getting more problematic if you try to maximize your stay and have many back to back entries and extensions. You visited 2 times less then 30 days. I would say no worry. Welcome back
