@Steve ******
yeah you’re right, you can apply for the 60 days extension visiting thai family as well.

So multiple entries Non O gives you up to 15 months in Thailand.

@Tong ****
If you have a 90 Non O based on retirement and a one year extension of stay also based on retirement you can change your second extension from retirement to based on married to a Thai.

yes in NZ the fee for a single entry tourist visa is €175 euros. The general fee is normally €35 regardless of your nationality.

No, and you plan to stay in Thailand for 90 days in total and you will be fine with two visa exemptions and one extension. For visa exemptions you get a free stamp and the extension is 1900 baht. In NZ you pay almost 7000 baht (!) just for a single entry tourist visa. Remember that it’s formally required to show proof of an (cheep) onward ticket within 30 days when you travel on visa exemption.

You’re right. Tourist visa formally requires an onward ticket. Non immigrant visas don’t. But if the embassy issues a tourist visa with a return ticket within 87 days as they probably will, she will be fine both with the airline and the immigration in Thailand.

Your best odds is to apply for a tourist visa and do a land border crossing into Thailand. Avoid Poipet Cambodia.

@James *******
Agree, According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs general regulations an onward ticket is required even for a tourist visa. Even if your embassy has issued a tourist visa just with an inbound ticket you could risk your airline will ask for it and also at the immigration in Thailand. You probably won’t unless they start questioning you for some other reason regarding your travel patterns, but formally you should be able to prove funds, accommodation and an onward ticket. Long terms visas (Non Immigrant) don’t require onward tickets.

Yes in Norway too, but this is a bit embassy dependent and it’s normally required to prove minimum two inbound and two outbound tickets for a METV.

Yes I see, you’ll need to prove inbound and outbound tickets and accommodation, but there’s no financial requirements on the website
