is have a statement from the american veterans department stating my permanent military pension and the monthly amount which is considerably higher than the requirement.
but the fbi background check??? you DID do that and it came out clean or your agent took care of it for you?? and is the retirement visa something done once and then it’s DONE or does it need to be reevaluated yearly? i don’t want to put you on the spot or anything. you can DM me if you choose. but this is crucial to my plans. pohm rahk pra thed thai. excuse my spelling.
i live in phnom penh cambodia just around the corner from the thai embassy and brought the documents with me already establishing my pension. but i do have a few glitches on my background from 40 years ago. they all qualify for expungement but i think they will show up anyway. i am hoping i can explain them at the thai embassy here in cambodia. maybe if i get a lawyer and or offer a security deposit. i have had zero trouble for many years now. what do you advise?
in 2003 i went to thailand from Hawaii on a 3 month ticket and thought i was allowed to stay all 3 months with no border runs. thankfully i decided to go to Laos near the end of the second month. i hit the laos border but Thai guards informed me i was overstay almost a month. told me all the money i had was barely enough to pay my fines. i said well, ok, i won’t go through into Laos for a few more days until my next check is deposited into my account. the guards said fine, i would be staying there in immigration hold. i quickly decided that better to pay up than stay in the hole they reserve for overstay. no jail time and lesson learned. i had less than $10 a day left for a week but still better than the alternative.
one locked eyes w me and started rushing at me saying “i’ll go with you “ several times. i quickly said NO forcibly several times and deflected him. i got the feeling he was quite high on meth and maybe even thought i was looking for black man sexual experience. never ever make eye contact.
