, I was in for my retirement renewal and charged 2400 bht, it was when I was waiting on passport to be returned I saw the sign, definitely includes most visas

There is now a 500 baht 'labour' charge at immigration offices for most visas.... Its up on a sign on the wall

, I see what you're saying John , I'm thinking once the 5 year stamp is on your passport page it's just a matter of going through customs as usual . It's not like the annual extension for the retirement visa . Time will tell I guess
