Living in Huahin on retirement visa , first year extension nearly fi ished and due for renewal very soon .

I went to main immigration today for the list of requirements.

My question is , when transferring onto the 65k a month method it states you also require a " verification of pension ,or proof of income statement ".

Has anyone in HH immigration ever been asked to provide this ? Or is the 12 months of bank statements with the 65k international transfers sufficient ?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When renewing your retirement visa in Hua Hin using the 65k per month income method, you need to ensure you have proper documentation. Many expats report that providing 12 months of bank statements showing 65k transfers should suffice. However, some have encountered requests for additional documentation, such as a pension verification statement or a specific international transfers statement, depending on the immigration office's policies. It's recommended to confirm with the local immigration office and possibly engage with community groups for the latest experiences and advice.

I don't have experience with the monthly income method, but HH immigration has never required anything from me other than a bank statement showing that I've been holding the

k each month. No special documentation required.

The last time I did it in Jomtien I had to show a pension statement. That was in August last year.

@Garry *******
and you got this statement from who/where?

I tried to renew last year and the IO at the immigration office said I had to have a copy of my pension statement. So I got it from the people who sends out my retirement money every month. It was easy enough to get but I didn't realize I had to have it.

, in the UK if you are in receipt of a local government pension , ie police , fire service,nurses ,teachers . Then you are sent an annual statement of your pension. I'm unsure of how a private pension works , but I would assume you could request a statement from your pension provider.

I got this list from Hua Hin. The wording is is unclear, but as is often the case I think they missed the word 'or' from the list. I have not used the 65k method, but I believe your bank statement should be enough.

Not wholly relevant but last week I renewed my O-A retirement visa in Chiang Mai for the first time. Same requirement: 65,000 baht international transfer in per month.

I had to provide a stand-alone statement of International Transfers into my account going back for 12 months.

The local KBank branch (not my home branch) that handles International business was familiar with the requirement and produced exactly what was needed.

In addition I had to provide a full bank statement for the last 2 months so that the international transfers could be cross-checked.

The IO told me that for my next extension Iโ€™d need to provide 12 months of full bank statements in addition to the International statement.

You should be fine with the year transaction detail print out that shows you transferred in to a thai bank account in your name only from abroad a minimum of 65K baht each month, every month, for the previous 12 months before you apply for your next yearly extension

I would say post on a Hua Hin group and ask as well

I would agree Tod , was just curious if anyone had any personal experience of being asked for a statement of any sort .

as your Scottish and thus would have to get that from the UK embassy, which no longer issues them your stuck with either 12 months of 65k international transfers before the day you apply or 800k in the bank 2b months before you apply. If your worried about I'd suggest going to immigration and asking them

@Mick ******
the whole purpose of them going to monthly income by transfer method was because the embassies stopped issuing affidavits of income from abroad,

I have no idea how anyone would get a "certified pension statement" seeing as the embassy won't stamp them.

Yep,
@Mick ******
that's how it is written ๐Ÿ˜‰

What I'm telling you is, you should be okay by just having the year print out of the monthly transfers of 65k baht a month.

There are plenty of people who don't get the 65K baht a month in pension but transfer it in every month and use monthly income by transfer method

@Tod ********
I don't understand it, could you explain it to me? Someone does not have enough monthly amount but transfers it every month and uses the monthly income by transfer method.

@Mario *********
if you don't have the 65K baht a month coming in you can't use monthly income method. ๐Ÿ˜•So you either can transfer in 65k baht a month, each month, every month for the previous 12 months or you can't.

@Tod ********
that's why I didn't understand what your previous post was about. because you wrote that even though someone does not have a sufficient monthly amount, they still transfer and use it
