we can't even fly from vietnam. No flights. 100k usd covid medical insurance, certificate of entry from Thai Embassy and 14 days very expensive hotel quarantine. Your looking at thousands of pounds right now to return. Best to wait it out till later next year.
Have you done your research? I am from the UK and have been in Hanoi since march. You need a whole list of documents to even board the plane. You need medical insurance covid coverage of 100k usd. You need certificate of entry from a thai embassy. You need a covid test before you go. You then have to have booked a quaratine hotel for 14 days and pay for more tests there. If you don't have all these documents you won't be allowed to board the plane. The quaratine itself is thousands alone. There are no direct flights right now from the UK to Thailand and if your transiting you must make sure your transit point has not banned UK. Every hour more and more countries have banned all flights from the UK. It's up to 40 now. Many of us in Vietnam want to go back to Thailand but we have to wait until atleast April it looks like. All the requirements will set you back thousands of pounds. There isn't even any flights to Thailand from Vietnam.
so what would be the best way to do it. I want to stay 2 months to see Thailand then fly to Vietnam for a month or two before flying back home to London in January.
