Can I show a return flight for the SETV application if plans extend beyond 60 days?

Does anyone know with the new online SETV application from London can you just show a return flight and the return can be for a few months time or do you need to show a flight within 60 days to even get the visa?

To be clear I want to stay for two months in Thailand before I fly to travel Vietnam for a month or two and then travel back to thailand for just my return flight home to the UK.

I have not travelled to thailand since last September and that was for only three weeks on a visa exempt. I only have three visa exempt stamps in my passport and that has been over three years one a year for a stay of three weeks each.

You don't EVER need to show a RETURN flight. They want to see ONWARD travel to another country. If you're travelling to Vietnam, show your travel to there

having things on hand, isn't how E visa works. He has to upload his documents in a particular formula. You don't choose a visa, you choose a reason to stay. The system chooses the correct visa.

. Totally agree, but if he has concerns and will be travelling to Vietnam, he can solve the issue by having his Vietnam flight/bus booking on hand. My main point was that many people are thinking you need to have a return ticket to your point of origin

Bobby Howard his ticket will show him returning from Bangkok 4 or 5 months ahead. That maybe or maybe not a problem applying for a SETV.

Imo, they wouldn't expect the return ticket to be any longer than 90 days from the date of travel unless your going to show a full travel itenary inc the Vietnam flight tickets to cover the period out of Thailand before returning.

The OP says 2 months in Thailand and a 'month or 2' in Vietnam before returning to Thailand for a flight home. I'm not certain they will accept a return ticket 4 or 5 months ahead without some sort of plan when asking for a single entry?

Perhaps they would expect an application for a METV?

Maybe call them and ask.
