me too bud, keep refreshing the link i left, its only news in the last 24 hours, its getting really late now though for them to start changing dates but this is thailand so we can hope, the above comments cant be confirmed yet so just a speculation albeit promising if they are holding a meeting today, cheers
not true mate, your stating the law if you hand yourself in, after the 31st if the amnesty is not put forward I can imagine the IDC will be checking passports in drones, get caught overstaying without handing yourself in aka not at the airport, your in for a very rough ride and a stay a detention center, your correct though handing yourself in but youll be getting banned from Thailand for a year (if overstaying and caught 90 days) after the holiday in the detention center/paying for your own flight. Not worth the risk especially given they will be checking everyone out soon, youll also earn yourself a big red glag on your passport/file for future entries which youll be looked at funny for
p.s you can all use this link to try and keep up to date, its set to the last 24 hours with search terms 'thailand amnesty' you can download a chrome tool which will also alert you on keywords too FYI.
from a poster on here, wont state his name as he might not want me too. Looks fairly promising for the 31st lot though - do note this is purely speculation and not confirmed yet. Cheers
Some news has just come out from a poster on here its going to be extended till end of September****, source from his wife whod just got off the phone with a lady in IDC, not my info but its on a comment on one of these posts and seems like it might be true as its just out, but yeah I got the go home bit too heh, hey atleast you didnt get called steven gerrard on your way out, also id beware of the scammmers, hearing reports of lots of so called visa agents scamming, getting alot of emails/line msgs myself which look a bit dodgy
I think it goes on your condo/bhan book thing, I know I have a condo in sarakham and thats one of the things they want to see (condo agreement and grandmas house book prooving a i live in sarakham and he is living where he is registered - along with alot of other papers), so Id assume its where you are registered as living as in living with your condo agreement, i dont see any problem in you re-registering you now live in maha sarakham at your wifes address though? and btw, maha sarakham is a great city, lived there for years, if you ever do move and want to know anything give me a shout, a few good guys up there too who i occasionally meet for a beer etc if you want introducing, great city mate and upcoming, I also know of a good condo, the only good condo in sarakham and have the landlord on my line if you ever needed a condo too, really nice with a huge balcony, but yea essentially you to go the office your registered as living , dont take anything i say for fact though I know very little tbh just going off my experience from when I tried to go it in CM
they do have an immagration office yes, its quite small but the old chap in the office is a nice guy although very little english, I am not on a retirement visa so I could not answer that but I am sure they do as they do my none o extension, I was under the impression you do your visa stuff at the office in the city you are registered living at? so for example I once went to chaing mai for visa extension and was told I need to be at Sarakham, I am not 100% on your situation, i guess my sons registered at a sarakham school/house hence why I have go there might be different for you.
