Hello, my year long education visa will run out at the end of November, can I leave the country and come back via land/Laos border and go to a back to a tourist stamp? I am unsure as I will have been in the country over the 365 days? Thank you
TLDR : Answer Summary
You can leave Thailand via a land border and return with a tourist visa, but you must first cancel your current education visa extension at the immigration office. It’s important to ensure this is done as some border checkpoints may not allow you to leave with an active visa extension. After cancellation, you can enter Thailand again, but some travelers have noted that a short stay in Laos or another country may be required before re-entry.
