you’re welcome. I’m almost certain you can’t apply for any long term visa inside of Thailand. The pros will chime in if I’m incorrect. You’d have to exit Thailand and apply for a long term visa. You could exit Thailand a couple of times then apply for the 30 extension also. But like I mentioned before, you will eventually be asked why you’re in Thailand long term without the proper visa.
there’s no limit per say by air. But saying that, if you are frequently doing it, you’ll eventually be asked question by the Thai immigration officer you face.
You won’t need it at Thailand immigration. You’ll more then likely need it when boarding the plane at your place or origin. That’s where the majority of people get asked about leaving Thailand within the 30-45 days.
As a Canadian myself, I’ve been asked every single time about an onward ticket. The only time I wasn’t asked was when I had a visa purchased before I left Canada. I have always bought a cheap ticket to Vietnam. Sometimes I’ve used it, other times I didn’t. It’s not worth the hassle at check in.
I’m a huge fan of the way this group is run. Straight to the point answers. Always correct information given. Thanks to all the moderators in this group.
yes I seen that reply. I was almost certain I seen a post before, somewhere, where a Canadian tried this method and was unsuccessful doing so. I will contact the Embassy of Canada to find out for sure.
I want to thank the both of you for all your useful information. You’ve opened my eyes to a few options I wasn’t aware of. I appreciate the help.
