Anonymous participant DTV visa does not make you eligible for a bank account.

It is considered a tourist visa.

I would 100% recommend enrolling in a decent Thai language school, and spend your first year here learning about the language and the culture.

You will need to attend classes, and the visa will have to be renewed every 3 months or so, iirc. But learning the language can be so beneficial it would be worth the time and effort invested into it.

Splendid. A strategy to write down and suggest to the Norwegian community, then.

I bet eating the transfer-fees for a lot of people will beat spending money to head out and in and dealing with Immigration more than once ayear ( and 90 day reports )

They might just want proof that you are in fact able to do this monthly and that they don't care. But I am certainly interested in what people with more knowledge and experience think.
