Hi Everyone

I'm looking for a visa service, I'll require help with opening Bank account, transfer my Australian Driver's License and my first one year extension.

I'll be arriving on a 90day non-O visa (already obtained). Any recommendations and costs if known would be appreciated.

TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking recommendations for visa services to assist with opening a bank account, transferring an Australian driver's license, and obtaining a one-year extension on a Non-O visa upon arriving in Thailand. Several commenters provide suggestions, emphasizing that many tasks can be completed independently but recommend agents like Maneerat in Jomtien for those who prefer assistance. They also share insights on the challenges of opening a bank account and provide information on costs associated with various services.

THAI ******************************
Opening a bank account in Thailand can be challenging at the moment. Even with a Non-O visa, success is inconsistent, especially in Pattaya where many of the restrictions began.

If you are able to stay in Bangkok for 1–2 days, we can provide a service that includes both opening a bank account and securing your yearly extension on top of your Non-O visa for 37,000 THB.

If you already manage to open an account on your own, our fee for handling just the yearly extension is 15,000 THB.

Since u already have a nonO its very doable without agent....u did not mention how long u have been here in thailand .....it depends on how much time u have to bankin 800k before your 90days expires..

..priority get a lease agreement follow by bank acct then gather documents for extension......for thai driving licence residency cert (immigration/embassy) a medical cert your passport and home licence book appt at the DLT near you.....can complete
***
day(without agent) I've just renewed both my car and motorbike licence for 5yrs within 2hrs at the DLT

Thanks Jesper, do I need a lease agreement to open a bank account?

@Steve **
Not necessarily but get a residence certificate from Immigration (get two, one for a bank account and one for a driving licence (three if you require car and bike))

its better to have one some banks (kbank/SCB) accepts lease agreement and nonO if u still can't open bank acct next step is to visit immigration office and ask for a residency cert(200b-500b) depending how urgent u need it

Unless things have changed , they can’t help with bank account

All can be done relatively easily without help but if you are determined to use an agent then go see Maneerat on Soi Post Office in Pattaya. Highly recommended.

This is all relatively easily doable without a agent.

Is there a particular reason why you're wanting to use a agent?

Biggest hurdle would be the bank account.

But if you visit a few branches of whatever bank you're wanting to use, you should be able to find one willing to open accounts for you. But with all the mess with Bangkok Bank, I'd personally avoid those.

Thanks Marianne, Yes Bank account my main concern, but I'm happy to pay to take away the stress.

considering you already have non-o opening of the bank account you should qualify. They will try to make it harder than necessary but do persevere; lease (properly signed each page) helps while residency letter from Immigration remains necessary. The letter must be addresses to each bank, a general letter will not do. Another letter will be required for driving licence. Make sure TM30 is issued to you wherever you are staying.

Converting a driver's license is quite easy! Just make sure to bring an International Driving Permit (IDP) as well. Allows you to drive for 90 consecutive days in Thailand in first place too.

Thanks Jan, and yes I have a International permit already
