What we have here is a failure to communicate. When people say they were denied for no reason, what they actually mean is they were denied and no reason was given.

What should I expect during my DTV visa interview at the Thai Embassy in London?

The interview is nothing to worry about as long as everything is on the up and up and were truthful on your application and have a valid reason for the visa. They are granting 5 years to stay in Thailand so sometimes more verification is done.
