Am I eligible for the covid extension if I flew here Jan 2021? Or is covid extension only for expats that have been here since covid started?

I came on a 60 day TR Visa, but it expires March 30.

1)Can I get a covid extension (is it 60 days?) or do I just need to pay for the 30 day extension?

2) How many days before my visa expires should I apply for an extension?

I recieved an email saying my visa had been approved yesterday. They put my passport in the mail on the same day. They only had it for 2 days

I had this same question. I submitted my application yesterday with a one-way ticket to thailand from USA. Within an hour, they replied asking me for my exit ticket. I ended up purchasing a $55 flight to Singapore from Bangkok to fulfill this requirement. They also requested "proof of payment" so I don't think the fake onward rental tickets will work, but I'm just being safe.

yes, I considered this. My only concern is that the embassy may not process it within the 24 hours, and may reject me on the 25th hour. The other issue is when I have to mail my passport to get the visa. Maybe they will double check the flight again. I'm not sure how it works, and I'm not sure that the embassy wants wants to tell me any hacks haha. I've also always been checked at my airport for an onward flight ticket. $55 onward flight to Singapore doesn't sound too bad. Thanks

yes, one way from USA to thailand. My embassy asked for for the return flight confirmation. I responded for clarification if I could purchase an onward ticket to another country. They also asked for purchase confirmation like a receipt, so I'm doubting buying the "onward ticket reservation will work".

There are $55 flights from bkk to Singapore though.
