just make sure that you make some transaction activities every 12 months, otherwise they can close your account, told by two banks...SCB and KTB...

on 800,000 or so about a bit over 6 baht a day, I usually got over 900,000 in it all the time, which gives around 7.4 baht a day

I would had to go to the bank to transfer 400,000, it never went below 400,000 in either account, as I have well over 800,000 in the account all the time

I transferred my 800,000 into another bank, was able to transfer only 49,999 at once, done it over time, and had no problem, not even got questioned about it. The money was always there in the bank

wrong, you only don't pay tax here if your country already taxed you, if not, you will pay tax here, regardless from which country you from...direct information from the Thai tax office
