You need to show the 65k baht minimum in your thai bank account net of any fees you might incur. It's pretty unwise to try and cut it so fine anyway

Are you on an actual tourist visa or a visa exempt entry? You may only get 7 days if the latter. If you don't get the extension or you don't get a long enough extension you have to leave the country

There's no mention of years in the latest guidelines so there is no reset. The guidelines are all about people spending to long inside Thailand on visa exempt entries which are only for short term tourism. Normal tourists won't be affected, others should get an appropriate visa.
