 My pleasure, don’t get involved in all these complicated machinations with people who have no idea what they are talking about and just confuse the issue. Rock up, get your 60 day visa free entry and if you want to stay longer, wander along to your nearest immigration office, pay 1900 baht and they will extend it for a further 30 days. Simples.

No need. Just roll up and immigration will give you 60 days visa free entry.

As it happens I have insurance anyway, I was just confused as to why the transfer stamp says NON-RE when my original visa was NON-O. I guess I better go back and see immigration.
