It's actually a legal requirement to have the 90-day report form in your passport. Personally, I cannot see why it's such a big problem to print it and staple it into your passport.
James K. Powell II. That's actually all you need. There's some dimwits who think this International Permit is the Bible, whereas it's nothing but bullshit
Michael Mason. And the biggest problem with Thailand is that magic word "visitor" - ie. a temporary situation, which about 99% of farangs in Thailand are. Every year I apply for a 12-month temporary extension.
W Samurais. You said address registration. That's TM30. The 90-day report is different. To do a 90-day report in a specific immigration office, you need to have your TM30 filed there
W Samurais. It's a legal requirement to notify the local immigration office within 24 hours of your arrival, or its actually the responsibility of your hotel or landlord, but if it's not done it's you who ends up paying the fine!
The hotel might know it as the section 38 registration, as they invariably do the registration online and not using the paper form. Unfortunately s.38 does not have a print function so they will need to take a screenshot of your registration and print this. It is perfectly acceptable by immigration. If you are registered on the system, it's very likely you won't need to show this form, but like any dealings with immigration you're better to go over-prepared than under
