Heads up to those who are with Bangkok Bank. Starting today they require you to block 400k/800k (depending on your visa type) 4 months prior to renewal even if immigration is asking 3 months. If not they will disclose documents for visa renewal only by making you sign a paper where you pledge to keep the amount for 4 more months.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Bangkok Bank has introduced a new policy requiring expats to maintain a balance of 400k or 800k THB (depending on visa type) in their accounts for four months prior to visa renewal, despite immigration only asking for three months. If this amount is not maintained, the bank will only provide documents needed for visa renewal after signing a pledge to keep the funds for an additional four months. This policy seems to exclusively affect Bangkok Bank, leading to confusion and frustration among expats as it does not align with existing immigration policies.

Just so people know, this happened at the Bangkok Bank branch out in the basement of the government complex on Chaengwattana road where the main immigration office is located
