Hello, just read your comment, you said you applied for a two month tourist visa online and with only a one-way ticket? Is that correct and did you apply in the UK, London Embassy. Thanks for confirming if correct.

Also there should be rules in place that airlines or ticketing agents cannot sell you one-way tickets only. Having said that, years ago I usually always got flights with one way ticket and never got asked by immigration about return tickets. Just because you have a return ticket doesn't mean you'll turn up for the return flight, so it doesn't guarantee to immigration that you'll leave.

Yep, on the e-visa portal, there is no option for 12 month multiple 'O' visa. Having said that I emailed the Thai Embassy in London in January 2023 and asked about getting this visa. They replied stating if your over 50 years, have a minimum monthly income of £650 you can apply for 12 month multiple entry 'O' visa. How you apply for it, when the online application only gives 3 month, single entry I don't know.

Depends, there's two types of non'O' visas. Three month single entry and twelve month multiple entry. Both these have to be sourced in your own country from the Thai Embassy. The three month one can be extended by twelve months, that is an extension based on retirement. The twelve month multiple entry is based on certain criteria to apply for it in your country before you travel.

Hi, did you get your non O based on marriage to a Thai lady, or on having a Thai child? I got one years ago, 17 years to be exact. I got it at Thai consulate in UK, no Thai wife or child. On the e-visa portal if you select non-immigrant 'O' it only offers a three month visa, not a 12 month multiple entry, which I'd like to apply for. I am over 70 don't want the three month one, need the twelve month 'O' multiple entry.

Also transferring to SCB, the SCB take a 400 baht charge, but I've been told Bangkok bank don't charge when you transfer to an account with them.

Family support and to an SCB account, but I believe Wise as well as SCB they are partners with Bangkok bank also. I only transfer to the same account every time and I've been doing transfers for years. Also I use debit card, it's much faster than bank transfer, takes seconds in most cases. Also I've found that it's better to do transfers Monday to Friday. Sometimes when I've done transfer at weekend it can take more time, sometimes by Upto one or two days. Must be something to do with computer systems at weekend.
