Farang Walking I have been doing all my extensions in the same Province ( Nan) since I arrived in Thailand and never had an issue until today when I went to do my 90 day report. They now want a copy of the page in my passport with the e-visa when I arrived, first time I have been asked for that.

The 400k can be a combination of your wife and your accounts if its not all in one account, as people mentioned must be there for 2 months before your application.

I have a marriage visa, just renewed for 12 months 2 weeks ago, it shouldn't be a nightmare if they have all the paperwork. The retirement visa is even easier.

Ann_Bisson132 if your friends are doing border runs then they dont have correct visa. They do not come knocking on your door at all times, they come for an arranged visit on your first 12 month extension to make sure its a real marriage. I have lived here a few years, never had an unexpected visit, yes you do submit photos and bank statements each year when you apply for an extension, this is to make sure you have the funds to support yourself. The 90 day report is to show you live at the same address, you can do this online in 10 seconds. never had a single issue with immigration.

If your wife has money in her account you can use both accounts. As long as you had 400k total in both accounts that should be fine.

When I got my first Thai liscence it was straight forward no video only 4 simple tests sitting in a chain pressing a pedal and buttons, 2 year liscence. After the 2 years was up done the online test now got 5 year liscence. If you have a motorbike liscence tell them you also want one. You only need to do the test once to get both. Copy all documents as you need a copy for the car and the bike.
