Satuk is 130 km from the border. Travel via Surin (bypass) and down through Prasat. Decent roads would make it a one and half hour journey normally but there are road works on the Prasat/Kap Choeng road so allow 2 hours.
Chong Chom friendly? .... more so than Poipet I would say. I believe it will cost circa 1,800 Baht for the Cambodian visa including the 300 Baht 'fine' for not staying 1 day in the country.
