Hi. A quick question. I've done several visa runs on tourist visa. Have to do another one this week, but really don't have the time, currently I'm in BURIRAM . So my question is can I jump on my bike, drive to poipet and get a 30 day on a day trip? And if so what documents do I need

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about traveling from Buriram to Poipet to obtain a 30-day visa exemption on a tourist visa during a day trip due to time constraints. Comments clarify that it's possible to execute this trip quickly, with the Chong Chom border being favorable compared to Poipet. Users confirm that with a valid passport, one can acquire a 30-day visa-exempt entry (not an actual visa) and mention the required cash for the Cambodian visa. However, it's advised to only use two entries for visa exemption per year.

Ok, should also mention, i already had a MET from Australia, which made the process easy, as i just using another entry.

If the OP actually needs a visa to enter back into Thailand that is another story and might have to do more research about Chong Chom

There is certainly a minibus service from Surin. James...he could do it on a bicycle in 3 hours from Buriram ๐Ÿ˜

Agreed Ray Bingham. CC border is a breeze. I was in and out in under 30 minutes and i found IMMs5 guys actually very friendly.

From Buriram, thinking it might be a 3 hour drive.

If you opt to get a van or bus the location might be referred to as "O-smach" since that is the name of the area on the Cambodian side.

in cash to show founds, I don't have onward flight

Satuk is 130 km from the border. Travel via Surin (bypass) and down through Prasat. Decent roads would make it a one and half hour journey normally but there are road works on the Prasat/Kap Choeng road so allow 2 hours.

Sounds good

Chong Chom friendly? .... more so than Poipet I would say. I believe it will cost circa 1,800 Baht for the Cambodian visa including the 300 Baht 'fine' for not staying 1 day in the country.

@Mar***
, you aren't gonna get a VISA. You're gonna get stamped in on a 30 day visa exempt entry stamp.
Ray *********
You get a visa exempt entry for 30 days, not a visa.

Yes I was reading about that now, so there can get an exemption for 30 min away

I found this online;

Ranong is where most people go to from Hua Hin to get a visa exempt entry from Hua Hin.

Yes have a condo in Hua Hin but at the moment I'm in Satuk district in buriram
Tod *********
If your profile is to be believed you're in Hua Hin, right? I dunno what is the closest and easiest place for you to do a border-bounce and get a 30 day visa exempt stamp.
Tod *********
you just need your passport. Although be advised you can only get TWO 30 day visa exempt entries by land in a calendar year.

Just a question, did you already extend your tourist visa by 30 days at the immigration office for 1900baht?
