After a few extensions, those officers will speak to you in Thai and expect you to reply them in Thai as well. Else they won't give you extension anymore.

Always 2 years for 1st timer and 5 years for renewal, provided you have legal status to be there. I think tourist visa is not applicable.

What do you mean by port Indian sim to Thailand network? Just get a Thai sim card. It's way cheaper and easier than doing the porting thing.

Just buy a ticket and go home. Try entering Thailand again next time.

Although there are rules on how many border run or entry by air, I believe there is also a clause stating "It is at the discretion of immigration officer to approve or deny entry to the particular applicant if he or she believes ..... ".

It is illegal for anyone to hold your passport without your consent. You do know that, right?

Quickly get it back and let's hope your former boss didn't use your passport as collateral to a 500mil baht loan.
