TLDR : Answer Summary
After the cancellation of your Non-B visa and work permit, you generally must leave Thailand or secure another extension by 11:59 PM on the same day to avoid overstaying. If you do not cancel your extension of stay or work permit in advance, you may apply for a 60-day extension due to COVID-19-related travel issues, depending on the specific immigration office's requirements.

There would be a few cases for you to have days before you leave the country after your visit to an immigration office (not always an extension).

You can apply for cancellation several days in advance. In this case, you have several days after you apply for cancellation at the immigration office, you need to leave the country on the last day but you don't have to visit the immigration office on the last day.

Or, as someone mentioned, apply for a Covid extension on or before 26th Nov.

Or, you can apply for an extension for whatever reason (tourism, working without documents, etc) immediately after canceling your current extension based on employment. It will be denied because you wouldn't meet the requirement, you will get the application-denied-stamp for 7days starting on the day to leave the country.

Following your extension based on employment, only some non-immigrant-based reasons (1 year) are available to apply for the next extension.

there is no tourist type extension on a non B, you'd likely apply for the unable to travel due to covid extension which you only have till November 26th to apply for. It's a 60 day extension.

for a non B it would generally be the length of your contract/work permit or 1 year.

What's a "normal extension"?

Well your visa is related to the work permit .. you can go to cancel your visa and ask for extension if it was not the first time you can get one or try to get the Covid extension.. then you have 60 day …

A visa can not be cancelled. However, a visa is a sticker placed in the passport and allows a person to stay in Thailand for 89 days on entry. Generally, most people get an extension of stay, which is connected to the work permit.

ASSUMING a person does not cancel the extension of stay or work permit in advance, a person must leave Thailand OR get another extension by 11:59PM the same day, otherwise you will be on overstay. If you are going to have your work permit or extension of stay cancelled before November 26th [Thanks for the correcting,

], you can apply for a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19.

Different immigration offices have different requirements, but all require the following:

1. Your passport and:

a. a copy of your data ("picture") page

b. a copy of your most recent visa (if you have one)

c. a copy of your most recent stamp

d. a copy of your departure card

2. A TM30, filed in the immigration office.

3. The forms (each immigration office may have different forms, and want to use their special forms)

4. A letter from your embassy saying you can not return, OR a print out from your embassy website saying they don’t issue the letters, OR a print out of a letter from the embassy saying they don't issue those letters.

5. 2x passport pictures

6. 1,900 THB.
