TLDR : Answer Summary
If your work permit expired two weeks ago and your one-year non-B visa is expiring today, it's crucial to address the situation promptly. Technically, your non-B visa became invalid once your work permit expired, putting you in a state of overstay. Both you and your employer were required to cancel the work permit. It's advisable to visit the labour department to officially cancel the work permit to mitigate future issues, including potential fines or problems with re-entering Thailand.

You might have problem going into Thailand next time because you didn't cancel your work permit.

You are on overstay from the moment you work permit expired, both you and employer had to cancel it, you will get fined, not the ex-employer

Technically your non-B work extension became invalid the day your work permit expired if you didn't get a new one. You'd still be expected to cancel your work permit and extension though.
