1. Paper from your embassy saying you are single and can legally marry (US embassy needs an appointment months in advance). 2. Take that paper and get it translated to thai at an approved translator. 3. Take that paper to Ministry of foreign affairs to approve the translation ( needs an appointment quickest is a few weeks in advance). Takes 3 or 4 days then usually they will have some small disagreement on trivial things and you have to update the translation. So you might have to go back again if you can’t get a hold of your translator for the update immediately. 4. Go to city hall with all your documents and hers. In bangkok the one in bangna needed like a 3 month appointment in advance. But in a small village you can just call a day or two in advance or just show up. It will probably take about 8 hours. They will ask all sorts of questions and multiple people have to approve and convinced your relationship is real and not a scam. 1. $50 dollars 2. Maybe $700 baht. 3. Maybe $300 baht. 4. Maybe $500 baht. Its not expensive to do it yourself but you have to be aware of making appointments for everything in advance. An agent will charge you 20-30,000 baht but will probably still make you wait more than 30 days because they also have to make appointments.

600 Australian dollars is 14,500 baht. Not 10,000 baht

yeah of course you should just visit a few times first. I would come every winter and summer for a few weeks. Its much easier to move here once you are familiar with the city and know your way around. You would not want to do that being completely lost. Come a few times just to visit first

Look up central bangna mall or seacon square srinagarindra/train market. Far enough from downtown to be chill and not touristy and have “authentic” thai neighborhoods but still enough cool places for food and shopping and subway and public transportation nearby. No beaches in Bangkok though.

As a bird guy I can tell you in Thailand sun conures cost ฿3000, parakeets like $150-300. Lovebirds like $500-1000. Parrotlets are like ฿700-1500. So if you live in thailand and want to buy parrots the prices are good. About bringing one from abroad. On the thai embassy pages they have a section called “bringing pets to thailand” and mention forms you need to fill out and the address of animal quarantine in BKK airport. But no detail on the process or mention of birds.

Do you have any trusted family members in America? You could just let them have your number or update your accounts to use their number and you message them and ask them what the secret code in the text message is when you need phone number authentication. Otherwise you are going to be blowing $50-$100 a month for nothing.

tourist visa only goes for 60 days. But can extend for 30 more days. Usually just requires like proof of where you will stay and proof of when you will leave and proof you have enough funds.

All dating sites have bar girls and freelance and scammers. If you find yourself attracted to sites that claim to not have bar girls and freelance and scammers (think christian sites or marriage sites) and you actually believe that kind of marketing then you will end up being a bigger victim than if you just dealt with normal sites. All sites also have real girls too that are not scamming or working at bars. But its up to you to learn how to filter out those girls. Good luck.

70s 80s and 90s. Damn so you were in the streets for 3 generations of gangsterdom haha…do you need it for a job ? If they are conducting the background check themselves they will probably find whatever you did. If you are tasked with getting your own background check or letter from your foreign police department and showing them the results then basically its whatever you decide to turn in to them

In Surin, basically no. But MAYBE you can enroll as a full time student at one of the universities and study thai and get the educational visa. Other than that you are probably going to take class in Bangkok. some schools in Bangkok will let you take classes online BUT getting a visa without regular in person visits to the classroom isn’t so easy anymore. Why are you moving to Surin in the first place?
