Hi, I went to MTT a few days ago and got my loop closed and extended until January 29, 2021. I had entered Thailand in March on tourist exempt and was on amnesty and now is my second time extending because of covid 19... my question is do I have to do 90 day reporting? When I was at MTT a few days ago I went to the 90 day reporting counter to do it and the officer told me no, that tourists still here because of covid do not have to do 90 day reporting, and only need to file for extension. I just want to confirm is this correct and other people’s experience? Because everything I had read online had led me to believe no one is exempt from 90 day reporting. Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user shared their experience of extending their visa due to COVID-19 and inquired about the necessity of 90-day reporting for tourists like themselves. They were informed by an officer at the 90-day reporting counter that tourists in Thailand due to COVID do not need to file the 90-day report, which contradicted their prior understanding. Other comments highlighted mixed experiences regarding the reporting obligation.

You have to do 90 day reports on 60 day COVID-19 amnesty? Have you tried submitting a 90 day report yet?

yes I submitted at the same time as my last 60 day application. I was late and paid a fine but my bad!

IS that at MTT? I tried doing a 90 day report at Kanchanburi on a 60 day extension of stay based on COVID-19, and they rejected it.

But it seems to be an inconsistent requirement 🥲 I was one of the lucky ones lol

I don't know what you want people on the group to tell you :/

You asked AT the 90 day report counter and were told you didn't have to report. That's about as much confirmation as a person could get..
