That was quick! Very helpful, thank you. I will check hotel options in this north part of town.

For a rental car, your Oregon Licence should be OK, however you can ensure you are checkpoint harassment proof by getting an International Drivers Permit from your AAA. If it’s anything like the IDP process in Australia, it’ll take you minutes to apply. Good luck.

I don’t recall there ever being direct flights from USA to CNX. You’ll probably need to fly to BKK, then take a domestic airline (eg - Thai Smile, which has several flights each day and reasonable fares). Good luck.

It’s just an acknowledgment form, though a bit redundant, but it’s three seconds work to sign and date so why not. (I signed one of these in the way through DOH last Nov)

If you received an unsolicited e-mail from someone offering a “Thai visa service”, it will be a scam or rip off.

month road trip in the north. We visited Chiang Mai, Pai, Phrae, Nan, Dong Phaya, Phayao, Mae Chan and Chiang Rai … and many places in between. It’s been awesome! If you want off the beaten track, I can highly recommend heading north. Happy trails.
