thank you for your kind help ! Yes turns out a local school is able to process so we started that ball rolling end of may, just waiting on an appointment with immigration. This was in the plan pre-COVID, I just hadn’t chosen a location. I guess Covid did that at least. Interesting to see what the Thai immigration offer. I’ve only paid a deposit with the school so far. I’ll get the 5 yr Elite Visa in 30 moths time. If I still want it / need it.
Yeah, and thank you, but I’m just 42. I have a reasonable understanding now. So I’m getting a Ed visa now., will extend that if I chose, then bounce around on tourist visas a while. That was the plan before COVID also ...👍
The fact that you are asking THESE PEOPLE, these RELATIVELY UNQUALIFIED PEOPLE (sorry, no offence everyone) and asking them HERE on FACEBOOK, tells me you don’t know enough about the matter, the industry, and the COUNTRY, to start any kind of business, let alone the property business, with its very high initial investments, and very low return on investment. I would suggest rent a house or condo for a year, maybe two. Try and get a job or start small business. Then see how you feel about investing in Thailand after that. I wish you good luck, but I am OUT 🙏
I hear of tourists opening bank accounts this year still. Its random and pot luck, some branches just say yes ! Think small island or countryside branches. I’ve not had the luck myself. But keep asking, try begging. Ask to speak to a manager. You never know. As with local immigration, they set they’re own rules.
