I totally agree. The thais do not seem to be too bothered with tourism. They are not missing it in 80% of the provinces. I think any tourist including china is a long way off yet.

no. Thailand will not. I am there and flying out and people see no way it will open next 6 months.

As a Thai passport holder at 18 you would have been put into conscription and not serving notice would had been counted as AWOL

You are correct. If you move away and get a foreign passport then your thai one is forfeit. Try coming to thailand using you thai passport then leave using you other because you have no visa on your thai passport. The immigration will take your thai passport off you. Yes you can have a thailand passport again but you must forfeit your second nationality first. Just make sure you do not own land inbetween as I will become messiy as it was owned illegally as a foreigner.

Not told any problem with inter provincial buses but only picking up at the main cities. Micro buses or mini buses seem to be working now.

It is your responsibility if for what ever reason they may refuse you boarding the plane. You would lose you ticket and money.
