To get your name on the list you must contact Thai Embassy in your country. They will register you in their waiting list and send your name to the Immigration in Thailand to inform them that you will be coming in Thailand and probably will have to pay for the 14 days quarantine. The embassy also need to issue you a certificate to entry Thailand and i think you will need a medical certificate to proof that you have no covid 19.

Even if they open the border they will probably demand something from tourist, (deposit, insurance or certificate that you free of covid 19 etc.) i'm not planning anything untill everything will be back to normal.. Hopefully next year

The first group that will be able to enter Thailand will be those who got a work permit. As for Tourist or Non-O visa holders we will have to wait..

Most embassies don't issue a 1 year visa if you don't have valid work permit. They will issue a 3 month single entry and you will need to extend it in Thailand.

My mother is Thai but i didn't apply for a Thai citizen since i don't want to join the army.. someone told me long time ago that if i will apply for a dual citizenship i will time to choose to have just one citizen untill i turn 20 or 21? Not sure if this law is still valid tho... but my brother who has a dual citizenship just find out a couple years ago that his Thai citizen for some reason was forfeited.
