TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the availability and reliability of flights from Bangkok to Manchester amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Some commenters confirm that there are flights currently leaving Thailand for Manchester, but express concerns about the unpredictability of schedules, potential cancellations, and the need for travelers to wait for more stability before booking new flights. The topic also touches on the ongoing repatriation efforts and the need for effective communication regarding airline policies and travel regulations.

There have always been flights to Manchester. But with cancelations with no refund and peeps getting stranded for days of not weeks it's just stupid to take the risk. Unless absolutely necessary (I sound like Boris).

Mates of mine were on route to Moscow for a change over flight to. Manchester when the plane turned round mid air and had to land in Kiev to refuel and fly back to Bangkok where they weren't allowed back into the country, cost em a fortune to rebook. On the other hand other mates have gotten back. No issues at all.

Now I can buy beer and have Netflix. Life's not so bad.

Manchester is the greatest city in the world.

Did you know that Jesus Christ himself is from there.?

What’s the point of booking a flight now??? You’ve seen how unpredictable it is....I don’t understand why you just don’t wait til all this clears up a bit and flight restrictions are lifted πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

The UK does not revolve around Heathrow to 80% of the British. It should have been called the London Repatriation for Southerners...

but flights going out are not everywhere people want to go.
Steven ******
There are flights everywhere around the world and yes, they are taking bookings. The real question is, are they actually flying. There's plenty of airlines cancelling flights.

Yes repatriation flights.

Yes the UK are accepting anybody especially with covid! Come on in!!! That's why we are the worst country in the world for it! No checks on landing either! But hurry checks are being implemented soon!!

My problem is my return flight BKK to Manchester meant to have been 1st April, is with Omanair. With stopover in Oman. Muscat airport is still closed to non Omanis. Even transit passengers. I chose to keep my ticket open because it was really cheap. I can't afford to book a new flight.

I think as a group we have been sensible and keep inform on what is happening. As a person from Scarborough and

near to me other facts have been influencing us. Another concern has now arisen in my home town. And the same could be voiced about other parts of the UK like Scotland and Wales. The peak in the UK has dropped over the last 2 weeks but in my place and north the peak has just arrived. That means the lockdown in England is maybe 2 weeks early for the north. Scotland and Wales have keep to their lockdown because of this. So the chances of spreading the virus is so much higher near my home.

I can see me having to get a flight with klm if emirates are still not flying in July
Lisa ********************
@Kev *****************
my ticket is with Omanair. I've been told the UAE should relax inbound flights by July. πŸ™

People on here keep asking when flights will become available to Manchester and the north.where the real Britons come from. Heathrow is another country from my town. Anyway. Looks like there are still flights at what is not expensive if someone is still sitting on the fence to leave.
Sumran *********
Normal wtf lol
Steve *******
@John ******
Real Britons? FFS! Plus it's nearly double the price of a flight to the UK in March, whilst still not expensive it's a big jump in cost.

@John ******
understood.

Yes there are flights leaving, but flights arent bringing tourists in to thailand.

There has always been flights leaving for people who want to go home.
