yep! I was pretty sure work permits needed to be sponsored by a company. I think many get around it by setting up their own companies but if I don’t have a job why would I go through the hassle? Something smells a bit fishy.

thank you! I did hesitate before I posted. You confirmed what I thought so I think businesses are trying to save themselves the money and hassle.

Is that information published anywhere? I mean the land borders Brazilians don’t get 90 days

All went well, I didn’t take any documentation other than the absolute minimum: pictures, copy of passport and passport. The consulate person told me that because it was my first visa that he would give it me without any other documents but that next time I will need to present a bank statement.

My partner was requesting his 3rd visa and was asked to submit bank statement, which we had to print but all good.

I’m going to Savannakhet and yes I’ve got the appropriate form.

We are staying a few days in Laos (entering Monday and leaving on the following Tuesday)

Thank you, just checked Air Asia and the flight is to Nakhon Phanom and arranged transfer to Mukdahan. That might be the way to go!

just weighing up the options at the moment, I thought I had figured it out but it seems that I have to keep researching
