yep! I was pretty sure work permits needed to be sponsored by a company. I think many get around it by setting up their own companies but if I don’t have a job why would I go through the hassle? Something smells a bit fishy.
All went well, I didn’t take any documentation other than the absolute minimum: pictures, copy of passport and passport. The consulate person told me that because it was my first visa that he would give it me without any other documents but that next time I will need to present a bank statement.
My partner was requesting his 3rd visa and was asked to submit bank statement, which we had to print but all good.
