I have a bit of a general question about work permits. Can individuals get a work permit? What’s the process? Could someone point me in the direction of some info?
Many thanks 🙏🏼

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, individuals can obtain a work permit in Thailand, typically by being employed through a business. To start the process, it is recommended to contact the local labor office or the human resources department of your employer for guidance.

This is a visa group, and not a work permit group, but I'm in a good mood and I'll let it through:
>. Can individuals get a work permit
Only individuals can get work permits. Individuals must be employed through a business (generally)
>What’s the process?
Contact your local labor office for the process of getting a work permit, OR contact your human resource office.
yep! I was pretty sure work permits needed to be sponsored by a company. I think many get around it by setting up their own companies but if I don’t have a job why would I go through the hassle? Something smells a bit fishy.
