you’re very defensive about this- but overall, the answer is yes, it does. People are expressing concern because that clarifies you’re in over your head and thinking impulsively. If you are unfamiliar with the basic legal terminology regarding your own immigration status, up until now, it illustrates that you would be a lamb to the slaughter undertaking this plan.

But at the end of the day, none of us know your financial situation and perhaps you can weather losing a lot. Many of us cannot. 🫡

Please listen to the many Thai commenting here. I know it seems like everyone is mean and jaded but try to notice and get honest with yourself- for this to be the immediate reaction for so many, it speaks volumes and is a product of experience. Only addicts say ‘this time it will be different,

I can control it.’ 😔

but they always think it will be different for them or outsiders just don’t understand their love… 😔 this is not at all a commentary in Thai women- it is based on economics, statistics and history.

yes, many many laws have changed in the last 15 years? Not to mention in just the last four.

It seems like every country, at least in Southeast Asia, changed some very primary rules and requirements regarding immigration post Covid.

yea. I thought this visa is for digital nomads and required some proof of remote employment as how you would be earning and supporting yourself while living in Thailand?

Have I really been so wrong or is the comment above conflating the DTV and the Ed visa? Either of these are possible 🤣

This has been the rule in every south east Asian country I’ve ever been in? I don’t understand? Just because it’s not enforced consistently doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be respected? We are a guest. We should not act like we own the place.
