Amnesty meant we didn’t need any visa at all. Was free of charge for quite a few months from April-September (amnesty). Then they realised they wanted to make some money out of us lol

@Da *****
yes the amnesty finished already. But in country, they have a Covid extension. Which is 60 days.

@Spencer ******
at present, those of us in Thailand can extend for 60 days at a time, due to Covid. I have been here since March, on a 30 day arrival stamp. Firstly covered by the visa exemption and then by Covid extensions. At the end of the day, Thailand has now realised it wants to keep foreigners here, firstly to cash in on foreigner money because lack of tourists for their tourist industry and secondly, they charge you 1900 baht for every extension. Chiang Mai embassy, who I am dealing with, seem to ask no questions and take your money and stamp fast.

Go to your local embassy or VFS office. They can help either get you a temporary passport or replacement.

you can get a 60 day tourist visa. Check your local embassy.

If money isn’t an issue and you’re desperate to see your love, fly to the U.K. Stay for a couple of weeks and arrange a 60 day tourist visa from the London Thai Embassy. Whole process can be completed in 2 weeks. You would then have to complete a 2 week quarantine in Thailand.

I’m in Chiang mai now. 60 day extensions are freely available... Well, for 1900 baht they are.
