Yeah no point applying for tourist visas while they are offering 45 days on arrival. I just returned from 1 week in Malaysia after being in Thailand for 2 months before that. No questions asked at DM Airport. Perhaps the 1 week gap helped.
You don't need onward travel for the tourist stamp. Only needed for the tourist visa. I've never been asked when being stamped in. The last time I came in was last month.
Seems to be only Elite from what I've heard. I've looked into Ed Visa and the commitment is too much for me. Most schools will want you in the classroom for 3 hours a day 4 days a week. There are dodgy schools who will forge your paperwork but Im not going down that route after already having the volunteer visa. I'm still going to apply for the elite as I have been told I may get it if im lucky. Especially as I have a new passport. Im not getting my hopes up.
Great post and there should even be a group dedicated to this. I'd love to know how those with previous volunteer visas got on at a Thai embassy or even Thai immigration. We are now blacklisted from Elite Visa approval so curious if anyone has had issues with other visa applications. Or perhaps have a positive application to share. I just extended my stamp by 30 days in Thailand with no issues.
Yep that's the plan. Not getting my hopes up but might as well try. I have a friend who is already talking to her direct contact in the Elite office about my case and that contact says to try. Suprised he said that with all the blanket nos I've been getting recently. But ultimately it's immigration who decide right.
