I don't think there are any written rules but from my experience this year I've entrered 3 times in the past 5 months plus one extention and no questions asked on any occasion.

I didn't look at it like that but it makes sense 👍 But why the sudden end and scrutiny of the volunteer visas? Why not let those continue if the new dodgy business visas are the same deal?

I was offered this too. I wonder how long it'll take for someone official at immigration to catch on though like they did the volunteer visas. My Elite application was rejected so I'm sitting on the sidelines as a tourist for now and see what happens.

Yeah no point applying for tourist visas while they are offering 45 days on arrival. I just returned from 1 week in Malaysia after being in Thailand for 2 months before that. No questions asked at DM Airport. Perhaps the 1 week gap helped.
