LOL. So you don't live in a country where your leaders don't consider foreigners to be thugs and criminals, and there wasn't flip flopping with Muslim bans, accusing foreigners if eating cats and dogs.

For Indian nationals, you need to look at India Overseas Bank, which has a presence in Thailand and provides the major means of remittances for Indians. In UK, if you have a Bank of Bangkok account in Thailand, you can transfer from a UK bank to Thailand for next to nothing via their London branch, which isn't a normal retail branch

There are many IDP websites that will send you a pdf that superficially looks like a A6 sized IDP, with a grey card cover and white double sided pages. Websites like ITCA, which do a clever job of deceiving tourists into thinking they can get a IDP online. However, I am 100% certain RTP officers are fully familiar. I mean, this looks pretty obvious, doesn't it?

Are you a "it's raining in Koh Samui" or "it's raining on Koh Samui" sort of chap?

The agents won't give money back but it will be a free re-application. It's not a scam when agents say they will help with any interview. My wife has a poor immigration record, and a UK based immigration specialist told me to lie. No way, used a Thai agency, was up front about issue. The invitation letter I kept short and to the point, unlike some flowery examples from blokes basically begging to get a visa. Got a UK visa no problem. I think the US visa will be similar, but having a firm relationship will help. You're going to have to marry her.

The agent can handle the paperwork, collect from you when the affirmation "ceremony" (aka hanging around a waiting room). I was using a Bangkok amphur, so hung around Bangkok. I think this is actually a good example of an agent being useful, as it's then down to them if there are screw ups in the translation etc. But the agent then charged me extra for a certified translated copy of the marriage certificate, which you don't need in the UK. A bit cheeky, nut what the hey.

Did it last year. They only do it on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Meaning if you get it done Tuesday morning, and can get the translated paperwork to the MFA by 3pm, you can pick up approvals on the following Monday. They take 3 working days to rubberstamp, no express service anymore.

An unlawful action will include using a tourist visa as a way of living in Thailand. You keep replying to the wrong comment.

I was in Bangkok with (Thai) wife. Checked in with wife's I'd. They didn't want to know about my passport. No issues leaving Thailand. Done this before.
