Just a question, why do you close comments on some posts that are only up for a few hours?

What is the purpose of turning off comments on threads? Why do the moderators of this group do it so often? Does anyone else think that it is unnecessary? Is there some reasoning for it that I'm missing?

I was in a good mood, so I only closed another post for commenting.

People please, it is not that difficult on this page.

a Post get closed for commenting most of the time with a reason. If you think you can just open a new topic with a reference to the closed post and start to abuse all the page rules as written down in the description, you will face a removal of your post and yourself from this page.

If a post is closed for commenting, but you have very important new information for the person who asked the question, contact one of the admins or moderators and we will discuss this information and decide to re-open the post.

James Miller,

Your really fast on the draw to close comments I’ve noticed. At least let people know that his (The op) post is not the norm or incorrect. We are all here to give advice and also receive it. Censorship is not cool but necessary to a point. Tell us it’s wrong (like Todd and company do) or incorrect in some way, but don’t leave us hanging. At least point out a discrepancy as all I know now from his post is I don’t need to file TM30 there.
