TLDR : Answer Summary
The question discusses the possibility of a mother and her baby obtaining an O visa while the husband holds an education visa. A comment suggests that instead, the mother could apply for a non-B visa and work permit, which could then allow her husband and child to benefit from her visa.

As you are working selling online courses, why don't you get a non-b and work permit, and then your husband and child can piggy back on your visa?

For non-formal schools, the parent must obtain an ED visa first, then the children can apply for a Non-O at a Thai consulate/embassy outside of Thailand, then enter Thailand on that visa.

For formal schools (University), they should be able to process the visa for the kids in-country, but best to check with them first though.

Good luck (Y)

I stopped that business a few months ago but can start that back up if it would make more financial sense to do that visa.

What's the cost & process for that?

It would be incredibly expensive to do legally.

Okay, we would definitely not qualify for the work permit and it would be a lot of start up cost to re-initiate that business again.

Pointing to my original question, can my baby and I be on an O visa if my husband is on an Ed visa. I'm a stay at home mom right now.

and the answer to that is

IF your husband is on an ED visa for a university degreed course you could probably get matching extensions,

BUT

I know no people who were able to get their family matching extensions when they had an ED visa based on studying at a private school ๐Ÿ™

Talk to the school your husband has the ED visa from and see what they'll say. They will know for sure if you can or can't do it

I'm on this website and I can't find information for a 1 year stay:

The visa gives you 90 days of stay, after that you can apply for the 1 year Extension of Stay based on employment in Thailand. You need to meet the requirements like having a work permit, paying tax and social security.
