Insurance advice please.

Arriving in 2 weeks on a Non Immigrant O visa (90 days stay) with travel insurance (90 days cover) & my refundable return ticket booked for late April 2025.

I am planning to change visa to a DTV visa (medical) prior to the 90 days, what medical/travel insurance options can I purchase after the 90 days?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is arriving in Thailand on a Non Immigrant O visa for 90 days and plans to switch to a DTV (medical) visa before the 90 days end. They are looking for medical or travel insurance options to cover their stay beyond the initial 90 days. Responses include suggestions like using Genki Insurance for flexibility and affordability, clarification on visa regulations regarding DTV applications in Thailand, and the recommendation to check with their current travel insurance provider for extending coverage.

Start by asking your travel insurance compagny, they will probably be cheaper if adding extra months.

No need to change to another compagny.

Should just come on exempt stamp free for 60 days and you cannot apply for a DTV in Thailand you’ll need to go to a consulate in a neighboring country

Depending on what u need/age etc take a look at Genki. Wont work for everyone but does for me! €60 odd a month and can cancel at anytime and covers pretty much the same as the big boys. I have a referral code should you need
