I have navigated the e-visa Site from Melbourne Australia,

1, I see towards the end it asked for proof of 800,000 or 65,000 baht a monthly when applying for a single entry Non Immigrant O visa. The fact that I'm applying in my own country I'm assuming its proof of finances in my Australian bank account .Is this correct?

2, If I get a letter guarantee stating I am living at a private residence copy of ID and ownership Book , when i arrive in Thailand is this set in stone or can i live somewhere else? providing i have a TM30 raised.

3 Proof I am in Australia. I have been told a Utilities Bill will be fine. I don't see how a bill proves where I am. Is this correct? Thank you in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the financial proof required for a Non Immigrant O visa application from Australia, specifically regarding the need for proof of 800,000 baht or 65,000 baht monthly. They also ask about residency proof upon arrival in Thailand and whether a utility bill can serve as evidence of their current location in Australia. Responses confirm that the financial documentation needs to reflect their Australian bank account, arrival residence can be flexible after visa approval, and a utility bill is typically accepted even though it doesn't directly prove current residency.

At first it said just a single entry non immigrant visa. After I started the application I see clearly I was applying for an O visa. That's why I asked, I expecting to have to provide a bank Account statement but I didn't expect 800,000 and 65,000 as I was under the impression it was expected when applying in Thailand and needs to be placed in my account two months prior to extension.

when applying for the 90-days Non-O visa, the 800,000.- THB or equivalent in another currency (!!) can be on a bank account in your name in Australia or ANY other country!

Only when applying for the "1-year extension of stay" out of the visa, the money needs to be in your Thai bank account.

And the same applies if you do the financial proof with your income: for the visa application, original income documents are accepted by the Thai embassy or consulate in Australia.

However when you apply for the EOS in Thailand, Immigration will only accept "legalized by your embassy affidavits of income".

Which I guess your embassy in Bangkok doesn't issue any more

And you are correct: when applying for the 1-year Extension of Stay Permit, the 800,000.- THB deposit on the day of application, has to be seasoned in your Thai bank account for two months.

After being issued the EOS, a minimum of 800K need to stay in your account for three more months. During the rest of the year, the deposit cannot go under 400,000.- THB. And two months before you apply for the next 1-year EOS, the 800K need to be back in your account

Hi would they expect a term deposit account or does it have to be a regular savings account?

this is Immigration specific. Some offices allow a fixed term, if the conditions say that the deposit can be accessed any time

Sydney might be more standardized 😊. I can't make up my mind if I apply for an O visa in Australia or do it in Thailand. Thank you so much for your help

if you apply for a 90-days NBon-Imm-O visa via "change of visa type" in Thailand out of a tourist visa, then be aware for the application to the visa, you will need the 800,000.- THB in your Thai bank account and a proof that it came from overseas. And for the application to the subsequent one-year extension, it needs to have seasoned for two months. You cannot use an income affidavit in the first 3 plus 12 months, because the Australian Embassy in Bangkok discontinued issuing these affidavits

The money already sits in a Thai bank. It has been sitting there so long I have concerns if they will accept it as being sent from overseas even though it has . I estimate about 7 years . Covid and double hip replacements have stopped me from applying for a Visa earlier.

It sounds like you are applying for an O-A visa

1) Yes, it's money in your bank account in your home country that you are applying from.

2) Once you have the visa, it doesn't matter anymore. You don't have to arrive on the flight you provided, don't have to stay where you indicated.

3) A utility bill or drivers license is the most common proof used. It doesn't prove where you are at all, but it's what they accept for proof of residence.
