And also asked about do i have any friends in Thailand and i said yes

So she asked me few general questions how you two meet and how long you know each other and i said my friend is available do u want to talk to her and she said yes . They talked on phone in thai language and after 10 minutes i got my visa 😄

Hi everyone, just looking for some clarification and to vent a little too! 😅

I posted yesterday about being asked to attend an interview in London for my visa application. Since I live on an island near London (not in it), I had to book a last-minute flight last night and hotel just to attend — which cost me over £400.

✅ I attended the interview — it lasted about 5 minutes.

Now, I’ve received a follow-up email.

My questions are:

• Does the 10-working-day processing time start from today (the day of the interview)?

• Is there any chance it could be approved before the 10 days? And I will be able to go on the 24th?

When I applied on the 5th of September, I was then asked for proof of flights to Thailand, which I then booked and provided — my flight is on the 24th of September. I honestly thought that would leave plenty of time.

Before anyone asks — no, the flight isn’t flexible (my fault, I know). But it still feels crazy that it might take this long, especially after attending in person.

Feeling a bit stressed and deflated after all the effort and cost involved just to be left waiting 😞

I just got an email from the London Thai Embassy confirming an “interview appointment” for tomorrow between 10–11am, but the email doesn’t say if it’s online or if I need to go in person.

I’m based in Jersey so London is the nearest embassy for me, but it’s not really possible for me to travel there tomorrow (I only just got back from a London trip yesterday!).

Does anyone know if these interviews are normally done online/video call, or if you have to physically attend the embassy? There is no other info!

Could anyone recommend what to do in this situation? I applied for an DTV visa through Ankara. All my documents were accepted, then I was informed that I needed to attend an interview and that I would receive a link for it. However, no link was ever sent, and in the end I received a refusal stating that I had not completed the interview. What should I do?

Has everyone had to do an interview? Interested about Soft power?

Just an update on my fiancés K-1 visa journey….Today was her Visa interview in Bangkok. She was asked 7-8 questions, nothing personal and was granted a Visa which should come in the mail in about 5-10 days….Happy day !!!

I’m applying for a DTV visa in Vientiane (Laos). After my status changed to “Pending Approval,” I received an email with an interview appointment asking me to bring original documents and noting they may review my online banking.

Is this normal in Vientiane? How did it go for you in practice?

* Did PDF bank statements (3–6 months) + a current balance confirmation suffice, or did they actually ask you to log into your banking app?

* If you had to log in, was showing the balance and a few recent incoming payments enough—without scrolling through the full history?

* Anything else they asked about?

Context: I’m self-employed (sole proprietor), working 100% remotely (SEO, Google Ads, analytics, AI) for clients in EU. I’ve prepared:

• a self-employment statement + client confirmation letters

• CEIDG extract

• bank statements (several months) + invoices matching inflows

• payment confirmation and all originals

I received this email today. I had applied on August 6, and later submitted the additional documents requested on August 14. Today, I had my interview at the embassy, where I was told to wait for one week. However, when I got home and checked my email, I was surprised to find this message.

Could you please guide me on the next steps? Do I need to visit the embassy again to have the visa sticker placed on my passport, or is this email sufficient? Also, should I keep this document with me for the next five years?
