I talked with sandee thai language school and they said the Ministry of education recently restarted reissuing visa letters, in which they ultimately stated consult the embassy which i cannot for the life of me can get ahold of email or phone-wise. What i understood is you could still get a ed-visa prior/during the pandemic by being accepted to a university course. I have confirmation that the thai embassy is currently issuing ed-visas for the stamford university english program 3 month course. I’m looking at two thai language courses below.

[members only]/ ->not sure if this is a legitimate school

[members only]/ -> university but currently online courses

My question is has anybody successfully gotten an ed-visa with the chulalongkorn univ ctfl class or sandee school in the past few months during the pandemic? Or has anybody gotten any ed-visa from any school where they have successful been issued an ed-visa to enter thailand currently?

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The author seeks information on the possibility of obtaining an education visa (ED visa) for language studies at Sandee School and Chulalongkorn University amidst ongoing pandemic restrictions. They mention recent communications indicating the Ministry of Education is reissuing visa letters, but express difficulty in reaching the embassy. Community comments highlight skepticism around Sandee School's legitimacy for ED visas and confirm ongoing challenges in obtaining such visas, especially from private language schools.

Quick one - PCR test 72 hrs before flight departs to thailand if coming from one country to another which flight time would be considered

Am flying from Oman to dubai 5 hr stop ovwr then emirates from dubai to bkk

a few weeks ago. They actually advertise it on their website...We have not received any letters yet even though they keep saying that the MoE is issuing them... The embassy told me the visa will not be issued anyway.. we are now trying to get the money back but they don’t want to refund...

Their response was that we can do the lessons online and that “eventually”the government will allow the processing of ED visas ...

Don't think you'd qualify for an ed visa for an online course that can be studied in your own country any more than a Thai studying online with the UK's Open University would get a UK visa.

I had an Education Visa with Sandee last year. My friend applied for his education visa with them a few months ago. Sandee haven't actually sent him any of the paper work over and he hasn't heard anything from the embassy. He's now trying to get his money back.

Hi

is your friend part of this group? I am wondering if a group action would work to get a refund

No, he isn't. He doesn't have favebook either. He has threatened them with legal action but hasn't heard anything back for a week. Do you know of anyone else in a similar position?

Sandee school is non-formal school, you can not apply a ed visa with sandee school, I also searched very long time but I not found a school

That you can get the letter from a private thai language school from the MOE addressed to a thai consulate requesting they issue you a visa does NOT mean you will get an ED visa or that you can even request to enter the country on an ED visa based on attending a private thai language school

Right now all the “โรงเรียนนอกระบบ” <- schools "outside the system" aka informal language schools (not real unis) are not allowed to request permission to re-enter thailand.

So even if you did get the letter, embassies aren't selling ED visas for private language schools and you can't apply for request to re-enter the country on an ED visa from a private language school at this time. ;)
