TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking recommendations for universities or colleges in Thailand to apply for a student visa, looking for options that are easy to apply and affordable. They also inquire about the need for an agent in the process. Comments suggest considering language schools like 'easy ABC Pattaya', and mention that university programs may offer longer visa extensions than language or informal courses.

What are you thinking of studying? Universities you can get “formal” education visa/extensions for up to 4 years, perhaps more.

Language schools or Muay Thai and the like you can get an “informal” education visa/extension for perhaps a year. You may be able to push it for longer but in general that’s hard to do.

You don’t need an agent for “formal” education ED visas. You don’t really need an agent for “informal” ED visas as your school of choice will generally sort them out for you as part of their “package”. An Agent would generally sort you out an “informal” visa if you don’t actually want to study and are just using the visa as a way to stay long term. Beware of this route though as they are certainly cracking down on these visa types.

Can’t really advise on what Uni. Mahidol university does lectures in English. 99% Thai students but depending on the course you’re going to take you can excel if English is your mother tongue or you’re fluent.

check "easy ABC Pattaya" . .a very good language school
