For my retirement visa extension, I was asked to provide a list of all the places I've lived in the last 12 months along with lease agreements and evidence of rent payments. Is this normal procedure now or is it because I'm applying in a different province than last year. I bounced around temporary places quite a bit and this won't be easy.
Follow up on my earlier post regarding applying for a driver's license. When I attended Min Buri DLT to make the appointment to convert my Australian license to a Thai license, I was advised by the staff that using the yellow house book and pink ID card would result in a driver's license that could only be used in Bangkok.
Australian embassy doesn't issue confirmation of address, and I don't qualify for the confirmation of address from Chaeng Wathana as I'm not in Thailand long enough to submit a 90 day report.
I used the yellow house book and pink ID card as evidence of address, was issued with a driving license, and there was no further mention of restriction to any particular province ... I can only assume that the original staff member gave me incorrect information.
Are TM30's linked by passport number or name. For example I stayed in a hotel in Pattaya for several days. Used my Thai drivers license for check in. I am assuming I will have to submit a new TM30 now that I am back home. Non 0 visa with marraige under consideration. Thanks for the info.
I’ve been following the group for some time and have been taking notes along the way for my situation – looking to re-establish a Non-O Retirement Visa in Thailand. I arrived in Thailand a few days ago with a 30-day visa exempt. I already have the required 800k in a Bangkok Bank account.
I’m trying to decide whether to do:
- one time 30-day extension of 30-day visa exempt > 90-day Non-O Retirement > 12-month extension
OR
- Jump ahead to 90-day Non-O Retirement > 12-month extension
I’m looking but currently do not have a residence yet in Bangkok. Is having a residence required before processing “One Time Extension of 30-day visa exempt” or “90-day Non-O Retirement”?
Hi am in need of advice. I will be renewing my Non O based on marriage. One of the requirements is the residence (blue book). I am renting a condo and the landlord mentioned he does not have the blue book because apparently, condos don't have that.
In the absence of said blue book, what can I show to Thai immigration? Any insight much appreciated!
Hello everyone! I have another question regarding long stay visa ( married to Thai).
I am currently on covid extension but am planning to do a visiting thai family, and after that, a married to Thai visa. Me and my wife are in Thailand for a year sabbatical. The thing is we currently have a tabien ban at her family’s house but we are looking to rent our own apartment/condo. Also, as we travel around Thailand quite a lot we might be moving every 2-3 months from one condo to another. I understand to have a married to Thai visa you need a fixed tabian ban and take photos of your place with our personal belonging inside etc etc but since we are moving quite a lot this might be difficult.
What do you think is the best option for this kind of situation? Should I leave my tabian ban as is or should I have one made everytime we move which is gonna be a real hassle?
Hello ,I am from India and I am planning to apply my first student visa ,dose anyone have a experience about first year of student applying in Vietnam? ( Some advice from experience people who applied there visa from Vietnam in Thai embassy) thanks In advance
I just downloaded this immigration app from Google play store und logged in with my existing FN30 log in. It's working and it's very convenient and easy to use.
Hi guys, I need a Certificate of Residence from the Thai Immigration. I just learned that they only do it if you have previously done a 90 day report which I haven’t. And the 90 day report can only be done 1 week before until 1 week after the 90 days date. Does someone know if that’s true?? Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge!
