Has anyone been here recently? I need to go there for my Education visa, I have all of the right documents and you used to just be able to turn up in the morning and collect the next day, is this still the case?
Thanks!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The process for obtaining an Education visa at the Thai Embassy in London has changed recently. Instead of walking in to apply, applicants must now utilize the online E-visa application process. Once the online application is completed, visa applicants can either submit their documents in person or use the mail-in service, but the mail-in option is only available after the E-visa application is submitted.
i guess it is clear. If you like to get a visa from the Thai Embassy in London first you apply using the on-line application method. After that you can go in person or send by post.

Yes I first applied online with the e visa service. And at the end of the process, you are given the option to hand it in in person - or to post it in. You must send the full documents, passport picture and 10 pounds in cash for return postage. And send it to them by "Royal Mail special delivery" service. Fingers crossed - my passport arrived with them today :)

I think you have to use the e-visa service before going in person too... I'm glad I skipped that one hurdle ;)

I second Nick - the postal service was great. I snuck in recently before they started the e-visa process but you can still submit by mail. You just have to do the e-visa thing first:
the UK consulates are a little misleading on their front pages lol
They say visas are usually issued in an hour. What they really mean are tourist visas are issued in an hour and Non Immigrant visas in an hour, once the Non Immigrant application has been pre approved in London.
