Bart, you obviously have too much time on your hands and you add absolutely nothing of value and just make your self look like, yes you have guessed it : 'an arse'
Alistair *********
Bart, when you were at school did you miss the class ' nobody likes a smart arse'? Maybe you were off sick when this lesson was given. Sadly it was and important lesson that you seem to have missed. This appears to be platform where people ask for advice and those with knowledge share their advice. Everything in life is easy when you know how!!
Bent *************
You are right - that is a very stupid question!
Bart **************
That is indeed not a smart question. Not at all.

All visa options are online in UK, via evisa system. You can't get to visit in person about a visa.

Lucy…you don’t need a visa if you can do 6 months in Thailand. You get 60 days visa exempt, on arrival, just need a passport, get and additional 30 days by going to immigration and paying 1900 baht. That’s 3 months. Then leave Thailand for a day and get another 60 plus 30. That’s 6 months.

If it’s your first time abroad / doing visa … just travel a few days / weeks, first. That does not require a visa from UK to Thailand.

The uk embassy in London is the home office.
Peter **********
@Sally ******
No, that is not an embassy.

An embassy is the representation of a country in a foreign state. Thus it’s factual impossible to have a UK embassy in UK.
Sally *******
@Peter *********
exactly!! It's the diplomatic office... so equivalent to an embassy.
Peter **********
@Sally ******
🙄

The home office is not a representation. It’s definitely not “in a foreign state”.

And there are no diplomats either…

You do know you are only on face book. 😆

Thai. And you can call them. Or go to website
Sarah ******
Look on the Thai embassy website. All the info about visas is on there.
Rini *********
Its online ...
Andy **********
You don't visit any embassy, you search on the Thai e-visa website, to see which is the most suitable visa to suit your needs.

Thai embassy in London mate
Ian **********
When the Thai visa system went online all the consulates were closed in the UK and the Embassy in London only allows visitors who are Thai citizens.

what people say and what they mean are often so muddled it's hard to make sense. But she ask if she should go to UK embassy or Thai. Well there is no UK embassy in UK. . but there is a Thai embassy.
Graeme **********
@Lynnette ******
correct and anyone with an ounce of common sense would’ve realised that

clearly I have no common sense, but the upside is people seem to like me as I tend to treat people kindly , and you …..

and that's what people told her. There's no UK embassy in UK.

Many think they the most important thing a Embassy does, is to make YOUR visa and answering YOUR questions.

In fact that is far from the primary function of a Embassy, in fact helping tourists are way down the list of their core tasks.

Bit of the same with facebook groups, people think their questions are unique, and has never been asked before, even when the questions is asked and answered several times a day.

@Henrik ****
perhaps you could learn some text etiquette, uppercase words within a lower case sentence is considered as shouting and completely unnecessary no matter stupid you deem others to be
Henrik *****
Perhaps I wanted to emphasize something by writing as I do.
Ellen *************
@Henrik ****
because people don’t think to use the search bar in a Facebook group, but it is actually such a great tool! And yes, so many people think embassies give a damn about them and that their country’s consulate will do so much for them when they are in a foreign land. Nooooope! 😒

Email them and they will reply promptly, probably better off asking your questions on here as you will get a more thorough reply as I’ve learned from experience

Why would you need to go to an embassy? The people in this group would give you the answers after they they ridicule you first.

There's no British Embassy in the UK. Visas for Thailand are applied for and issued online.
Graeme **********
@Steve ******
she’s not sayin that. She means the Thai embassy in the UK. Read it again and think about it🤪
Frank **********
@Graeme *********
omg stop already.
Steve *******
@Graeme *********
Nice try! Maybe you should read it again and think even harder!
Lynnette *******
@Graeme *********
she asks if she should go to the UK embassy or Thai embassy. So she WAS asking that. And there's no UK embassy in UK.
David *******
@Graeme *********
read her last sentence “… do I go to UK Embassy or Thai?”

She clearly does think there is a UK embassy (in the UK)

Thai embassies using the e-visa system, including the UK, DON'T take emails/phone calls and especially in person visits for visa related queries. All queries must be done trhu the online system. It's written like that, and it's actually enforced like that.
Matthew **********
I can give you one tip. I wanted the same advice. I realised quickly tbat trying to get official information from the officials is extremely difficult. They always have a queue. I called a visa company. They do everything for you for a fee . The fee was too much so I didn't pay. But the first free consultation/phone call, to see what visas I'm eligible for? That was invaluable.
Phil ********
You apply here.

You don't go anywhere.

UK don't have embassy in their own country. You go to the Thai embassy

she’s not sayin that. She means the Thai embassy in the UK. Read it again and think about it🤪

yes so why start it.

Pity your not man enough to say oops I misread that

@Wayne ********
nope. Doubled down trying to humiliate someone else further down in the comments with the same reasoning 🙈

over and over trying to shame people 😂

It is so much cleaner to just say ‘whoops’ and have a chuckle. 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Graeme *********
no one is policing anyone? You made a simple mistake in comprehension probably because you skimmed it too quickly. No shame, no problem, no reason to be defensive – it happens to all of us on occasion.
Frank **********
@Graeme *********
you need to read the last sentence because I agree with Wayne.
Wayne *********
@Graeme *********
go read it yourself

It says at the end. Do I go to UK embassy or Thai
Brandon ************
The UK would not have a UK embassy inside of the UK. That makes no sense.

If you want to know about visas to a country, you check with the embassy for that country.

You CANNOT go to the Thai embassy in London. That embassy uses e-visa so all visa matters are now handled online. You can check their website, or try contacting them directly via phone, e-mail or Facebook messenger.

Foreigners are not allowed on the property at all. Only Thai citizens seeking consular services are allowed. This goes for all Thai embassies that have adopted e-visa. Foreigners are no longer allowed on the property.

I can very much confirm this for my local Thai embassy.

Hi Phil , I’m hoping to split my year between South Africa and Thailand, I would of liked to spend more time in Thailand where I won’t need to pay rent, ideally an eight/four month split , I live in the Uk , lots to figure out by 2026 when I retire
